Ill bump this a bit.
I can't speak about bark scorp I have no experience with them, but I think some here do.
However, I do think that all scorpions can display gluttonous behavior. I think it could correlate to several biological factors....
- prey availability
- Areas of distribution
- season and weather
- procreation/pregnancy.
And I would theorize several other factors.
If you look and read
this article it says and I quote :
- Quote :
- The species has rarely been collected in desert and arid areas, and Lourenco and Cloudsley-Thompson conclude that dry climate is probably the main limitation for this opportunistic species' ability to colonize new areas.
It already confirms this species is very sensitive to differences in climate, yet opportunistic.
So I would theorize that this would stretch into their feeding patterns.
Eat when things are optimal, to save for less optimal conditions, or changes.
Some of my thoughts.
Take care,
Joey
