My new scorpion

well i went down to my local exotic pet store to see what they had in the scorpion department. Long story short the guy talked me into getting a emp instead so now I have a mature female with scorplings in her tummy.

Abyss is %100 right. You do not have a mature female. You have a pre molt Emp. If you can get a clear pic of the stinger and the underside we can be more specific.

idk you guys might be wrong about that. i see yellow eggs underneath the skin. let me now if you need a better photo. she wont let me pick her up and i dont feel like stressing her out so no bottom photo.

Still kinda hard to tell from that picture but the reason I think it's pre molt is the telson color still looks creamy. Adults have a redish brown stinger

if she is in pre-molt how long until she molts? on estimate .

By the looks if it... Soon. Depending on conditions. Turn the heat up a few degrees and it'll happen sooner rather then later

A molt probably isn't as exiting as a birth but personally I love seeing a scorpion grow under my care. But hey the pics were a bit lacking so I could be wrong. I'm just basing my opinion on what I can see.

My male emp looked kinda chubby like that in Oct of 2012 and molted just a week ago. So you could have a few months to wait. The pics and such are here

Ok so i just got her to spread her claws open and its a female. Now its just a waiting game.

how do u tell by there claws ??

look at her pectines and the oval thing

With the claws theirs an extra knuckle for males when they mate.
females will have a straight edge claw.and i did its not an oval its a heart shape which proves shes a female as well. i checked that afterwards when i picked her up.
