| if you have a desert scorpion. give them a water dish for the last week you're home and feed them the day before you leave. Then do nothing more. They can go without food and water for 3 weeks no problem. In fact they will probably be happier since that giant that lives with them won't be messing with their enclosure. Opening stuff. Offering crickets when they aren't hungry. Turning on lights at night.
Your forest and bark scorpions can also go 3 weeks without food unless they are juveniles. Your substrate will get pretty dry. But you really don't want to flood it before you go as that could result in mold especially if you dump in feeders. I would say feed them well the week your home then try to do a water bottle that fills the dish it's attached to. they have them for chicken feed and cat and dog water. Even hamster water. As long as they don't run out of drinking water you can mist when you get home.

| I have wondered if scorps would drink from a rodent watering tube with the metal ball ball at the end? Or, maybe replace the ball with a piece of cotton? Might work. | |

| Here is a site with instructions. Down scale it to use a small water bottle and shallow dish.

| I build the water dispenser below for my cricket farm. The dish is 2 inches square, 1/2 inch deep and lined with a piece of aquarium filter. The bottle is a plastic 8 oz. water bottle. In the cricket bin, the pad became pretty nasty with frass in a short time and I swapped the contraption out for water crystals. It would work fine, however, in a forest scorpion enclosure. - Water dispenser:

| Dang it Richard I knew I had seen that used somewhere I just couldn't for the life of me remember where but it was in the feeder forum wasn't it.
But yeah that is EXACTLY what I was trying to tell you to build and it will work wonderfully.

| I was recently looking on what I would do with my inverts next summer, as I would leave the country all summer(Mexico, I'm gana look to scorps!). I figured I would leave some of my inverts with friends, and pay them like 25 bucks if they didn't really want them. The ones I couldn't leave with friends I would ask a pet sitter to take them for cash over the summer. yeaup. Oh yeah, and for the water, I wanna try getting a large cup, making a very very small hole at the bottom, and then placing it over the water bowl over the screen top, filling it up with water, and letting it drip into the bowl like rain. I wonder if it would work. | |

| For dripping water you might somehow get one of those clamps they use to drip IV solution in a hospital. Have the water go through a tube just like IV solution. I'm not a medical person but the dripping seems very precise. I'm not sure how it would hold up over a long period of time though. | |
