@lxdng: just got her recently and unexpectedly. i'm using a screen top. thankfully she's a 3rd gen captive-bred that's why she isnt rubbing her snout into the mesh

I'm not a fan of colubrids but I'm definitely liking this one.

haha thanks! she's actually quite docile. she would wrap herself on my hand and jut stay there. i can eat my dinner and watch tv with her coiling my arm lol

yeah i think they're zaocys luzonensis now and yeah sorry bout the confusion, they're Philippine Pit Vipers, Parias flavomaculatus.

@vandalcore: yes we have a lot of snakes, both shared with other regions in south-east asia as well as endemic ones.. more than a lot than i imagined before LOL

@LX: i've been envying your cynodons for quite some time now and voila! my dealer had one up for sale. actually my dealer (as he is seen from the background) is the one who did and explained the probing process to me.

it's also known as a kukri snake.. an egg-eater.. quite a handsome creature with a nice disposition to match hehe

You have a great collection of very beautiful snakes. Are all these species native to the Philippines? My step-father has a place out in the Philippines that he stays at every year for a month or so. Hopefully I'll get to join him out there one day and get the chance to see and photograph some of your countries amazing wildlife.

yup all they're all native here. some are also found elsewhere in the southeast asian region but most of what i have are endemic species

Thanks for your reply. That's great to hear. It must be amazing being able to see such beautiful reptiles in the wild. They're probably not that easy to find though.

well that is true. most are atop trees or burrows deep into the earth to be found. you'll be amazed what you'll find underground. btw, mind if i ask what town or where your stepdad lives?
