| I was just wondering if emperors need the uvb lights because my room is about 75-76 F and I want to use the bulb for a desert hairy just because it ads a bit of heat but I hear emperors are fine in mid 70s i was just wondering if he really needs it | |

| Unlike reptiles, scorpions do not need UV light. Furthermore, prolonged exposure to UV light will stress your scorpion and is considered harmful. An IR bulb is the preferred method for heating and night viewing. Scorpions don't see the red light given off by an IR bulb. | |

| And although your scorpion will survive at 70 it will be much more active and happy in the 80's | |
