I have a pair of young Babycurus jacksonis (Rusty Thick-Tails Tanzanian) scorps. I'm pretty sure they are a male and female. They were captive born and are from the same litter. They are housed together and I'm hoping for babies at some point. Is inbreeding a problem? Assuming I get babies and the first litter is not too large, I was thinking about keeping the babies to start a colony.

You have nothing to worry about at that simple a level of biology there are almost no risks to brother/sister mating.

I've heard of some inbred captive populations of scorpions becoming smaller from generation to generation.
As with all living things, genetic diversity creates healthier, stronger offspring.
However, as already stated, breeding related scorpions generally seems to be trouble free.

Thanks! I'll let them (hopefully) breed and not worry about it. If I get a chance I'll introduce some new blood into the mix.
