| Infrared lamps don't give off UV rays, and they heat the terrarium. You may find one that fits the lid mount. | |

+1 The plant on the left looks like a Dracaena spp. While they are hardy and can tolerate low light and both low and high temps, what they can not tolerate is too much water. I'm afraid it will eventually rot over time in a soil as moist as of a tropical set-up. You would be better off keeping it in pot (this way you can keep the substrate moist enough without keeping the plant in too much moisture). You should also bump up the moisture in your tank, that substrate looks way too dry.

| They're both a type of draceana - Marginata on the left and Deremensis on the right. They are high-light plants, and they get enormous. (Several feet after only a few years) Keeping them in lower light levels may stall their growth so they can fit in the tank longer, but it could affect the plants to not have as much light as they need.
I've got a Deremensis in my hisser tank. I bought it when it was about five inches high and after six months it's just about too tall for my 30 gallon. It's done extremely well in a consistently moist substrate that matches the conditions of my scorpion tank. I'll probably move it temporarily into the 55 gallon we're setting up for the scorps, and then it'll have to get it's own pot and a windowsill as it continues to grow.

| Thanks for the detailed IDs Wodesorel. I was almost sure it's a Marginata as I've got two, but wasn't sure if there is maybe another D. spp. that looks the same. - offtopic:
Mine for 3 years grew from 1ft to around 5ft , this one is kept inside in a dark corner with nearly no water in the winter, and in the balcony during the summer. The other one has grown from 1ft to about 2ft in aroung 2 years and half, but It's being kept full year at work. I had one (possibly) Deremensis too, but it just didn't grow at all..and after 2-3 years struggling, it died Besides Yucca elephantipes, the D. marginata are definitely one of my favorite plants.
