Finally after 4 months!

I got this A. Australis Lybicus morph back in Feb. He seemed pre-molt then, but he finally did it last night. I'll post more pic's soon, but I wanted to show what I had, that I thought was very interesting.

I can't wait to see how long before he fluoresces.

That's really interesting! What causes them to regain their fluoresce? What chemical do they need to regain?

some say it's a protein that they excrete into their exoskeleton that gives them their fluoresce.

Nah, gear is important, but the "machinery" behind the cam is what makes the difference.

What camera are you using Tim?

Great work Tim, really interesting stuff and awesome photography. You should put all the pics in one post, in a row, for comparison.

I also agree that it is the organic part behind the camera is a far bigger player in making great photo's.

It allways gets me that with all that technology humans still cant figure out why scorpion glows and is it just a coincidence or a function the scorpion activly uses.

OMG I have cannon 450D and cant do it so good. Will be practicing I guess.
