| Please can someone ID this scorpion, when it's under a my bulb in my tank, the claws and sting go red, i can't get a picture up as my camera isn't working but when i bought it it was labelled Asian Forest Scorpion. Its a Heterometrus but it's super aggressive, i'll open the cage and just one bang it's in threat posture. The picture will be up soon. | |

| Here is a link that you might find useful. Once you get a picture up I'll try to ID it, but from your description, it's impossible to tell what species it is.
Welcome to the forum by the way. | |

Copy the IMG code and paste it here. You can also host pics by clicking the "host an image" symbol in the reply box. Here are your pics: (I did not host them, I just copied the code from your photobucket.) - ArachnoEvans' Pics:
It might be H. spinifer or H. longimanus, but I'm not sure. Clear pics of the chela (claws) and the carapace (head) would be helpful.

| You have to be a member for 7 days before you post any pics. you could send Scorpion19981000 a personal message with the link for the pic in it. And then they can post it for you. | |

I completely forgot about that. I'll post the link. Here is the link: https://s1056.photobucket.com/albums/t365/ChileRose97/ - ArachnoEvans' Pics:
@ ArachnoEvans--- I'm thinking it's a H. spinifer. (Perhaps a H. petersii, but most likely H. spinifer.) Do you know the sex of your scorpion? If you don't, look at the underside of the scorpion. Because it's a Heterometrus species, if it's a male the pectines will be larger than that of a female. If your not sure, then post a pic of the pectines. Also, the substrate in your pics looks too dry, try pouring some water on the substrate.

| I was told it was a female. I looked at the v shape thing on it's underside. Short and close together female i think | |

| I think it's a male as it paces around the tank at night banging against the glass and the pectines are long | |
