Yeah, I cant think that a normal Western Hognose can cost that much, except if its an albino, anaconda or one of the other morphs.

| Most of the exotics in my country come from an exotics fair in Czech republic, I can get a normal western hognose delivered for about 50-60 euro ( this is including the extra the importer will take for himself, travel costs, etc.) But I've seen red morphs being sold for as much as 250-300 euro each (the price at the fair).
A couple of years ago when a guy was able to breed them (once), they sold for aroud 40-60 euro each, and 80-90 euro for a pair.

| Update.... A better(not much) pic of the Cape Coral. And then my new arrival. Puff Adder (Bitis arietans) This snake is the culprit for the most snake bites in my country and causes a few fatalities each year. They get A LOT of negative attention even though they arent very aggressive and bites usually occur when people step on them as they usually bask on footpaths and places where humans walk. They are also very well camouflaged. They are said to be the fastest striking snake in the world and I can vouch for that, I have seen rattlesnakes strike(SLOW), all sorts of boas, pythons, cobras, adders and vipers and they dont even come close to these snakes. This little girl(hopefully) is still a baby and measures about 20cm. She huffs and puffs all day long, but she hasnt striked once at me. And a pic of her having her first meal, this is probably the worst pic I have ever taken, but I was so happy when she ate that I couldnt concentrate on taking photos. Hope you enjoyed it | |
