Hi Chulmin,

Temperature 27-32C is good. You are keeping it right.

Tank used can be kritter tank or glass tank for adults of about 7cm length or you may use deli-containers for sub-adults/ slings of less than 5cm in length.
Important thing is that you can secure the scorpion well so that it will NOT escape.

Minimum tank size for an adult Androctonus bicolor (size about 7cm) i'll recommend to be 2.5 gallon.

Fill it with sand of minimum 4cm depth and place some flat stones or bark pieces on the sand as shelter.

Breeding can happen all year round.

Pregnancy period is about 9-12 months estimated.
I have some females popping soon and i will share about the exact statistic.

As for refusing food or not eating for 7 days, it is not necessarily a problem to be worried about.

In some cases scorpions can go without food for months. Can you post some pictures of your scorpion and the tank that you are keeping it?

The size of your breeding farms is okay. Not to worry.

As for the top cover, make more small holes in the cover so that more air can go in.

Make sure the cover is well secured so that the scorpions cannot escape.

Picture #5 female does not seems to be nearing a ecdysis but we need to confirm is she is an adult.

She might be either very well fed or gravid (if she's an adult female and has been housed together with the male before). If she is the same female in picture #1, she might be an adult female.

To know for sure, are you able to take a top view picture of her beside a ruler?

My 7.instar Androctonus bicolor female has the following measurement (estimated):

Total length: 7cm
Body size alone (without tail length): 3.8cm

For your reference.

um....OK. #4 picture body size 2.7cm. #5 picture body size 2.6~7cm. but scorpion body abnormality. scorpion body change color white. and... morning wake up dig up the sand a breeding farm. sand mountain be made. what problem??

Picture #4 should be a male.
And for my 7.instar adult male, body size alone is around 2.9cm, full length including tail about 6cm.

#5 should be a female.
Referencing to one of my 7.instar adult female (heavily bloated and gravid), body size alone is around 3.8cm, full length including tail about 7cm.

Since your #5 female body size is about 2.6cm, she might have one more moult to go or she may be just be a smaller adult female.

The above are sexed based on tail to body ratio, do a pectine tooth count to be sure.

Nothing to worry about sand mountain being made too.. if that is literally what you mean and as i have imagined

Tail length: 1.8cm
Full length: 3.7cm
Condition when measurement was taken: Very obese and in pre-moult to 6.instar

Thanks bro. I'll try to take a measurement of mine aswell (4i unsexed and 5i male) both are getting close to premolt.

How do you measure these guys anyway? They're pretty "jumpy"

Unless i have a dead specimen to measure on a ruler, i can't be 100% accurate.

For measurement of life specimen, i'll estimate by placing a ruler near them.

When the telson is full stetched, it should hit the 0 mark, hence i'll estimate it's total length to be 1.8cm and body length to be 7.5mm

My reply:

For both sex male and female, they can get matured at 7.instar.
The fourth picture you posted should be an 7.instar adult male.

The fifth picture has slight changing of color to pale white could be a sign to moulting, she may be a 6.instar female or a small 7.instar adult female.

You can actually put them together to see if they will mate.
As long as they are well fed, provided with 2 or more hides, it should not be a problem.
You can keep a close watch on them just to be sure.

Be careful and use tongs to deal with them
