| Hi, so i'm new here, so if i posted this wrong tell me please hehe anyhow, i'm not new in the scorpion hobby, i just think i'm getting tired of that old, Substrate in, hide in, water dish in and then finished, i want to make myself a neat looking cage for my H.Swammerdami, and i've seen all these kind of mud/clay looking substrates in pictures and i wonder how to make such a substrate? Also wonder where they come from if anyone knows, did some research but diden't find any pictures of habitat etc. i wanna make as much wildlife as it can possible get, since i don't are allowed in norway to have any reptiles so scorpion is my closest thing to make a viv(?) for. Anything will help! Throwing in a little picture i took of him yesterday Thanks -Tb | |

| Hi Priack, I'm not sure about the mud/clay substrate you mentioned. Any bros/sis here got any clue? As for getting sick of the simple forest setup.. There might be better ways but you can just create a natural landscape by packing down different levels of substrate, with the addition of some forest deco like what you are already doing and there.. Done! You can check out some of the setups by LXDNG79, DolbyR, Bex and JamieLawrence as well Btw, Welcome to the forum! | |
