Indeed, a lot of good info there!

As a side note(and not sure if this is with all, or just mine), mine used every inch of substrate depth i gave him. I had mine in a 45 tall with about 12" of substrate(plain dirt below and peat on top) for the living plants i had in there. He ended up tunneling from one side of the tank to the other where he made his cavern. Tunnel ended up going 12" down, and 20" around the plant roots. Was rather interesting to see

Yes, most of them really love to dig. The substrate depth i use are of minimum requirements for them to grow up well and healthy. We can expect their burrows to go really deep down beyond the land surface in the wild.. Smile
