Hey there i have a question about this scopion i would like to know whether it is an adult or not. When i ordered it i asked for a juvy female and this is what i got i realise it is not a juvy but would like to know whether it is a subadult or not. Considering as you can see next to the hygrometer it is quite small and i was hoping it wouldd grow a bit bigger. I have determind it's sex is female already but it still seems so small for a female if it is a full adult, which i hope it isn't.

First of all, that's an adult you have. You can tell by the brown telson. No way to tell how old it is other than that it's at least ~2 years.

Second, you need to change its setup ASAP. Take out the substrate you have and replace it with coconut fiber (commonly sold as eco-earth or bed-a-beast) or peat. Check here for some FAQs on emperor scorpions -- there's some good tips in there.

And third -- welcome to ScorpionForum! cheers

Hello and welcome to the forum...

To answer your question... IMHO it looks like an adult scorpion based solely on telson colour.

I just went to a show today and picked up 5 sub adult emperors and their telsons are creamy white to creamy white with a tinge of reddish brown.

Yeah i changed the substrate already that was just a tank that i had her in untill i got hers all setup, her tank is actualy filled with coco fiber but i have a multitude of substarte levels for the scorpion none that involve sand or bark like in that picture though. Yeah and i figured that it was an adult i may keep her, i may not considering being the first scorpion i have owned i wanted the full experience or i will just get another emp. I would hate for her not to have a home because of what i wanted.
