| They have the red hourglass, they just dont have any other coloration. I believe most if not all widows have the hourglass in some form or size. But there are some that keep pigmentation on other parts of the body. FOr instance redbacks got a red stripe on top of the hourglass. | |

That's what she said... Really though, I'm pretty sure they are the largest N. American species. I can take some pics of her since the molt. If you look at the other pictures I posted you can see the small white stripes on the abdomen just above where it meets the thorax. Since they hang upside down it may be difficult to get clear shots of her back. I shall try however. | |

| The exuvia The hourglass The back The last photo doesn't show her very clearly due to the plexi, and lighting difficulties. On closer inspection of her, she still has the stripes, but they are much less defined. To answer your question Bex, yes in the fourth picture. Sort of like -_- | |

| You almost cant find them in Europe I think. So you'll have to shop US style. Try finding a cocoon, I doubt thats against the law since its not the spider yet. lol | |

| Pretty much. For instance, here is a link to a website selling Tegus. Scroll past the Tegus to purchase an American Alligator baby for $50, or a Caimen for $200-$350. | |
