| Ok, so every time I've fed Scorpinox, she backs into her hide and doesn't let you watch her eat.
Today I lost 2 superworms in her hide because she dropped them both, so I pulled up her hide, put her in a containment bowl and threw her a cricket as a consolation prize for me disturbing her while I dug up her home to find the worms.
When she grabbed the cricket, I put her back in and waited for her to back in to her hide to finish it off. Well. She didn't, she ate that thing right there in front of me............I did not realize that the chelicarea worked like another set of claws til I saw it in motion.
I AM IN AWE. That was the COOLEST thing I have ever seen!
LOL
PS: She's standing in the entrance to her hide going WTF? Who came in and messed up my house?????? She's so cute lol. I think she's about to call 911 and say I've been robbed!!!!!

| We're going to reptile specialists tommorow. They have one cbb adult which might be male. i would like to see if she breeds before she dies so I can have a couple of her. She's my first scorpion, and according to her telson, she's been old for a while. I would like to keep some pieces of her before she goes. But I really dont want the WC from petco.............I just hope I can get some of her babies before I lose her.
I'm really in love. with a bug. never would have expected that in my life.

I think mine must have gotten into a serious argument. My male, Baraka, was kicked out of the hide and is now residing in the extra hide. Justice can be so dramatic sometimes. A couple weeks ago I got my male to take a cricket while he was chilling on my hand. If you don't mind getting stray chunks of cricket on you, its a pretty wicked experience.

| Today I witnesses a little brawl between the female australis and male australis too (mainly because she was looking for her kids and stumbled upon the male).
I let them (i think if you interrupt them they become even more mean, just like dogs) and all is good now. If these hot tempered little guys get along after a standoff, I'm sure emps will too.

That's funny cuz that's what Ryan said he wanted to try. Didn't know if you could actually do something like that, but I would think you'd have to be extremely careful.

Yup, just have a seat on the ground. Let your emperor settle down on your hand for a while, then grab a cricket by the butt and hold it just out of reach. Make it come to you, if you stick your hand in its face it might grab your finner
