| If that's a P. viatoris then i'm a one legged football playing turkey with metal wings and a hankering for cheese covered turtle shells.
....hmm...that was even a lil weird for me...anyway....
A viatoris is like a heterometrus version of a P. exitialis, in short they are orange. Unless that's the darkest orange i've ever seen or there's a extremely dark viatoris morph i've never seen.
Sorry I can't really tell what it is, usually i'm a bit better with this sort of scorp, but it isn't a viatoris.

| Yeah The guys on arachnoboards seem pretty clueless:S One guy tells me its either viatoris or cavimanus. Well, then its got to be a pretty dark morph. | |

| to be honest with you both cavimanus as viatoris have RED chelae. This one is completely black? This might help you out a bit: from left to right P. viatoris, P. pallidus, P. smithii | |

Not always. There are two morphs, light and dark. The DCF has black chelae.

I am fully aware of that I have all of the pandinus.net pictures saved on my computer I really want to get to the bottom of this. Looks like an emp but has a black telson. Wtf. I'm a little colorblind so maybe it's very dark red or brown. It must be a pimp.. Thats lame. If it had been male it would be okay, but female is so easy to get a hold on...
