SHE'S A BEAST!!!!

2 days ago, I dropped a cricket in front of her. She snatched it up. The next day the one that was roaming in her tank, I picked up and dropped in front of her, she snatched up and ate it. 2 days later, I just dropped a superworm in front of her and she snatched it up and stuck it in her face.................

remember, we got her from someone else and she never ate. All of a sudden she's eating everything we throw in her path..................i'm a proud momma!

She's filling out.

Oh, and I tried to get a good pic of her with her butt up to the heat, but it's not that great, so I'll wait for another attempt............it's so cute LOL.

I am. She's just been really skinny compared to everything else I've seen.

The person we got her from kept her on sand and said she only ate worms.........after a week here and the destruction she did to the sand setup, I really can't believe he had her for a year......since shes been in the correct setup, with the proper heat and humidity.........she's acting like this forum says she should..........I'm glad to think she's happy finally, and she no longer looks like an anorexic scorpion............

I really appreciate you guys. I think she's healthy and happy now.

I've always fed my animals very aggressively (T's, scorps, pedes, snakes, lizards, etc...), never had one pass on due to it! I'm with Sam on this one!

Not to go too much offtopic, but its true indeed. These animals are not mindless bugeaters. They actually do know how to survive. They survive harsh climates, monhs without food, they really do know when they cannot take anymore food.

They dont go in feeding frenzy everytime they see a meal. It is not true, they stock up as much as they can when food is in abundance, because in their instinct they are programmed like this (very few occassions to feed, sometimes not for months).

In fact, a nice example. I have 5 Parabuthus transvaalicus instar 4. They are pretty big but not as big as the largest crickets. Because I might be a hidden sadist, I feed those things to them. They can barely handle them but always get the kill done.

Now this is a huge meal for a small scorp. One was fat and still took it. It only ate the head, because it couldnt swallow the rest anymore.

I had my gravid Androctonus australis do exact the same thing with adult locust. Only the head, sated.

Last thing I ever say about overfeeding. So dont worrie babe, give it what it needs.

Yeah, when she came to us she was on something like beach sand. The guy we got her from brought her like that tank and all. The sand wasn't even the kind that could hold a burrow had she wanted to dig one. He had an old wooden candleholder sunk in the sand as her burrow and a huge deep water dish............

I dropped a couple male crickets in the tank (refuse to put females in anymore thanks to the ovipositor). She just snagged another one........this is how many prey items in 2 days? I'm starting to wonder why she's so damn hungry.......................
