2 molts one day

hi guys just a quick update for u i havent looked at my baby h madras and my juvie h arizonensis for a couple of days so i looked at them last night and found a small molt ther in my madras tub so i was already in a great mood but the iceing on the cake was when i cheked on my little hairy and to my supprise he had also molted and is alive and well so na i feel brill as i know its hrad to raise hairys from being juvies so fingers crossed i can get it through the next one p.s should i put a bottle c ap of water in my hairys tank for a couple of hours in case it needs a drink

Congrats on the molts man! If you want to offer water go for it It won't hurt anything.

thanks street just dont want to give it mycosis as its still verry soft cos it still looks white instead of yellow how long dose it normally take for them to get there normal colouration back

Could be a couple of weeks. If you have a black light you can tell when they have fully hardened. They won't glow all the way until they have. Then you can offer food again. Mycosis usually won't occur unless they are subjected to high moisture levels in the sub for extended periods of time.

Yeah. I'd wait at least a week. They can take a while to fully re-color themselves, but will be ready to eat before that. Give him a crick in a week and see if he eats it. If not, remove and try in a couple more days. Usually they'll be ready by a week to ten days after.

no worries mate i was gonna wait a week im i over the worst know with it moltin because i heard there hard to get through molts when there in captivity

so a quick update its been about a week since i found my molts my little madras snagged his first live cricket but my hairy still wont eat is this somethin to worry about or is it still not ready to eat

I wouldn't worry about it. Try again in a few more days.

Like Street said, they need to fully harden again or they wont touch anything. When they get their original color back they're ready. Mine take about 4 days, but I can imagine, the older and bigger they get, the longer it takes. 1 Week is normal.

ive kept the molt lol and its been bout two weeks so the coulors have started to come back on it na lol will take some pics and get them up as soon as lol they go very white when they molt just hopein it will eat soon lol
