Bogatau

Howdy all,
So I got an interesting call from a fellow member of Search and Rescue today. She stated that she had a large snake in her hen house and wanted me to come and remove it. Upon extraction, it turned out to be a four foot long Gopher Snake (AKA Bull Snake) She is absolutely GORGEOUS! I have named her Bogatau (Bo-guh-taw) and will be posting pics as soon as I can get some decent ones with my joke of a camera. Today was a major WIN.

LOL Thanks all. Like I said, she is gorgeous and the calmest snake I have ever seen. She is perfectly content to sit on my shoulders, around my neck, or climb onto my hat. Never hisses or shows any aggression of any kind. She's a pretty sweet snake indeed. Smile

But you never know. Money is tight and with the other beasts I will be getting soon, a wild caught may not be feasible for very long.

I agree completely so I think I am going to keep her. She should be a huge hit when I get back to my dorm. Along with my scorps, T and other snakes (Which I plan on getting soon) I know my first scorpion was a smash sensation at my dorm last year.

Beautiful snake. I use to catch those when I was a kid. Most of the neighbors had horses so there was lots of grain,
lots of mice and lots of gopher snakes. However, none of the gopher snakes I came across were as mellow as yours
seems to be. It looks like a keeper to me.

we get grass snakes, they only eat damn amphibians, so there's no point in taking any

LOL Yea, I am surprised really how mellow she actually is. She is the single calmest snake I have ever seen. Perfectly content on my shoulders for hours at a time. She's a true one of a kind beauty that I fully intend to keep now. Very Happy

She's got the coolest patterning I have ever seen. Like three different patters. Spots, patches, and banding. It's really wild.
