whys she so aggresive and eating alot?

why is my scorpion being so aggressive she even trys to attack the water i spray and she eats alot of crickets i thought they were only suppose to eat like 1 a week I was just giving her 2 a day but so far today shes eaten 3 crickets and a moth

If you give them food they'll eat it until they aren't hungry anymore.

They get moody once in a while.

If your dirt isn't at least five inches get more.

At the risk of sounding like a jerk, are you pestering her too much? They will get stressed out if you are constantly messing with them or with their cage.

well i just moved the cage earlier and she came running out of her hide with her claws out ready to attack and okay ill put more in i thought she might want more cause she keeps throwing dirt out of her hide so now shes pretty much just sits on the bottom of the glass and ill try leaving her alone for awhile i only bug her when i put in crickets which is a couple times a day and when i spray water on the ground she starts trying to attack it so should i just avoid spraying in front of her hide?

Try pouring water in rather than misting. Pour some in each corner and you can watch it creep through the substrate. If you need to you can pour a bit in the middle too. The sub should be moist all the way through. Just don't pour too much in. You don't want standing water in the bottom. It'll be too swampy. The humidity should last longer that way.

Emperors like to burrow so more substrate should help as well. If you want to you can put in a false bottom to help with humidity. Basically it's just a layer of gravel or Hydroton for the bottom two inches, then five to seven inches of substrate and a hide buried mostly in the sub. They will burrow under it on their own. The gravel layer is then filled with water until about 1/2" from the top of the gravel. The water will wick up and evaporate through the sub providing long lasting humidity. I can't remember the last time I misted LOL.

i like misting it bacuse it keeps the ground more smooth every time i pour in water it gets all bumpy and gross looking

im just worried for my scorpions health i dont like my pets dying its very sad

Relax and enjoy her/him. It is better for both your mental health. Scorpions are quite relaxed animals. You should be around them too.

If she is burrowing that far, maybe its to hot in her enclosure.
What are the temps like?

i keep the temp at 80 to 90 never over 90 when the thermo gets to 90 i turn off the heater and no her claw still doesnt open but she can still move it around it just stays closed while the other is open and im worried im doing something wrong now cause i found some furry poop looking stuff in front of her hide this morning and she had like white out looking stuff in her mouth and is it normal for her to put her tail flat and have white slimy stuff come out by the stinger? it kinda looked like she pooped or like jizzed out of her stinger in the corner of the tank

That's poop. They poop out their tail by the stinger.


I suggest that you do a bit of reading on your pet.

thats what i thought and the furry stuff is mold right? how do i prevent that
