Hey guys,

I was browsing through Arachnoboards and came across this "Arachnorecord" program created by Leon de la Garza.

It seems like a neat prog to use, so i've decided to post it here to share Smile

Key features:

* Add your pets with details: Id, Name, Sex, Species, Status, Date Acquired.
* Add many pets with 1 click.
* Keep a history of your pet’s molts.
* Add pictures of your pets.
* Schedule reminders.
* Includes over 2000 species, and the ability to add any species.
* The most flexible species catalogue, a full taxonomic tree is editable.
* Create reports of your pet list.
* Help button in every section.
* It is completely FREE.

Is anyone using this or anything similar?

Havent opened it yet but if it keeps records of moulting times etc it is something i searched for, for a long time!

Yes it does keep tracks of molting dates etc.
I've updated the key features at post #1

I only tested it for a few mins.. as im still at work.. lolz
So far so good Very Happy

I'm just about to contact you in AB Smile

I have some queries:

1. Is the program standalone, e.g. no installation is needed and all data we keyed in are saved somewhere within the same folder?

2. Say if we were to reformat our pc, a backup of the whole folder will help us to retain all the info we've kept so far?

Yes, all the information is saved within the arachnorecord folder. That's all you would need to back up

It uses .NET framework you should check you have the latest one.

It is what I had in mind when I tried to make an access database.. I just couldnt get it together as where you did great. Thanks!
