| L. parahybana - gets huge GBB - looks awesome
I'm no expert though and don't keep any of these. I believe Bex has a LP an Jamie has a GBB so maybe they can help more.

| LP. Massive when grown Cheap to buy VERY fast growing Lovely to look at Sit out on show Eat anything Live for years
No real bad points except you need a fair sized tank.
GBB Colourful LOADSA webbing Hides a fair bit Expencive Just generally a bit crappy Smaller though so smaller tank is ok Shorter lived.
I'd DEF say L. para. | |

| I'm certainly no expert but yeah I have a GBB but it's only a sling, also I have no experience with LP to compare to (so biased) but I'd personally go with GBB for it's mad colours and mad webbing. Mines always out and has probably webbed the most, size for size, out of all my T's, except maybe the OBT. GBB! OBT! | |

| They always seem to look tatty when older and I'm not a fan of dead colourful spiders. I much prefer nastier, bitey ones. | |

| If everyone knows which spiders we are on aboiut then there is no confusion. Plus I'm lazy and it's a lot quicker to type GBB than Chromatopelma cyaneopubescence. | |

| C. cyanopubescene is an ugly [buttocks] spider imo, if you want color go for P. murinus RCF | |

| Lividums are nasty, cool too (and dont forget big), but dont compare even the slightest.
Buy an expensive spider, resell it.. turning expensive into virtually free (buy 3 slings, sell 1 when adult and your money returns having 2 adults for free).
Sick of the adults? Get some cash by selling all of them. Throw an adult P. Murinus on the market and you will not get any decent amount of money for them.
I dont look at prices when comparing species since if you get commercially you can see it from all sides.

| Being about the money is the wrong reason, i value selling to someone that can take good care of it higher. | |

| Do you want a colourful spider or a giant spider? It's really just personal preference. Personally I don't care about size. If i had to take one of those two it'd be the gbb just because ive never had a colourful spider like that. I'm gonna get a couple of new T's soon. King baboon, minax and maybe a colourfied one. Vercicolor or something. Maybe a pokie.
The most impressive spiders for me are S Calceatum and P Murinus. But I'm bias and baboons win everytime.

| To me, spiders are creatures that web a lot, are fast and when you find a special one.. it should be beautiful.
I have had a huge Blondi in the past, and I was glad it died (hard i know).
The GBB spins, is beautiful, fast and really not that small either (5.5 inches). GBB hands down.
I even belief they are easier to keep than Lps concerning humidity. Pelo should be able to help you out on that. Btw, should view those feeding vids or that RobC dude or Jon3800 on youtube.
The speed and power they have when attacking prey is a whole lot more convincing than a huge spider just stepping over its food and push it to the ground in slowmo.

| The only spiders I even give a second thought to where humidity is concerned is Avic's. Everything else here dries out totally then I tip/ spray water in then let it dry again. GBB will do fine like that, but then again so will S. Pinks. I dont bother with water dish either, they drink if they want to when I tip the water in. | |

Ok guys thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Guys do GBB grow fast like LP's or nearly close as LP's.
I read some on the net, some says medium and some says fast.
MY friends here to says they are fast growers.
So guys for the clinch, is it slow, medium , fast growers?

| Well, if you are gonna get both eventually, go for the GBB now, then you've already made a start on growing it on. Even if you leave off getting the S. Pink for 12 months it'll still overtake the GBB. | |
