| Most awesome about this species is that the scorplings can live with adults until they also are adults, they wont eat eachother.
Also they can take down roaches 3x their own size, well being a 5 out of 5 on the venom scale has its advantages xD

| Well now that you've popped it back up I'll chime in and say I have two on order. They arrive today! I can't wait! One thing for sure is one should be VERY careful cleaning out a large enclosure with a zillion of these little gals hiding in every nook and cranny of the enclosure!
I have read a lot of different opinions regarding the venom level. Any opinions here? I would think a VL 3 on a scale of 1 to 5???

| I've kept this specie for about 2 years or more now. My biggest brood was 13 or so. My serrulatus seems to give bigger broods. Key is alot of moisture!
Oh...and ive been overrun with them all year. I cant sell or trade them fast enough to keep afloat haha. Ive got probably 40-70 on hand, mix of adults and their broods.
I'd recommend them as a potential first "hot" scorp, as theyre very easy to raise, grow fast, and reproduce readily in captivity. That, and theyre incredibly communal.
HOWEVER HAVING SAID THAT, this specie will not hesitate to sting. Ive not been tagged, but my friend has, and he claimed it was pretty unpleasant.

| Thanks everyone. I have a friend who owns an exotic pet store. When I start to get overrun I'll probably just give the excess to him. Good to know they are a VL4. | |
