| hi girl, it was together with a male in the tank for a while? Do you feed often and does it get smaller when feeding less? | |

| Looks very gravid to me maybe you should separate just to be on the safe side, gravid females can get very nasty to there tank mates we lost 2 E.Flavicaudis that way | |

| I'm lousy at identifying prego scorps. Is it an adult pair that you ordered? If yes, it might be possibly gravid if they has been housed together for some time. Definitely hoping the best for you | |

| I have already separated them just to be on the safe side. Tried feeding yesterday, but neither ate. I only just got them yesterday ofcourse so I have no idea if they wanted to eat yet or not. Will try again in a few days. Unsure if they are male or female because hard for me to honestly tell. Pretty small guys. They were listed where I ordered them from as sub/adults. So right now I'm just keeping a close watch on chubby there just to see what's going on.
Thanks for the welcome. I'm not on insectgeeks, but I am on arachnoboards and another tarantula forum. I decided it was time to find a forum for just scorps being I love them just as much as I do my T's. Im the one who got my boyfriend into scorpions. Tarantulas too, but yesterday was the first time he got a scorpion for himself. Usually it's me snatching them up. =)

| Yes, gravid. Bump humidity and give the female a hide. Oregon-caught specimens tend to give birth in late August to September in my experience. My broods were around 30 specimens and U. mordax are known to be great moms.
The young should take about 10 days to come off of mom's back. When that happens scoop mom out with a spoon and take a blacklight to the substrate to find all the young. I highly suggest separating them, as I've observed cannibalism when they're kept together. Keep the young humid but provide adequate ventilation. They should start molting to 3I from October to January if you keep them warm enough.

| Thanks guys! I checked on her again yesterday and she doesn't seem to have cannibalized any babies. So I think we're doing good so far. =)
Also, now that it just hit me, when I separate babies from mommy how/what do I go about feeding them?
