| He knows what he got! Tbh I am amazed at the "clearness" of the pictures too. Just as with the pictures of GS. How do they do it? :-) | |

| Yes nice collection you got going, the unidentified one doesn't quite look like my spinigerus but may be just because it's in premolt. Nice to be able to find them locally. | |

| Yeah man, I flipped rock for about fifteen minutes and found a grip of these. It's pretty fierce and active too! It always stings it's dinner, and not just once, but four or five times. Pretty cool find. | |

| Its not a cool find bro. Its an Awesome find! How i wish i can flip some rocks at my vicinity to get such gorgeous specimens. ha Great pictures too. I love your Hadrurus arizonensis. Since you got it in a "Slim" state. I'm guessing you get to see quite a few feeding before it gets plump up. It's really tempting.. just to get one for collection | |

| Yeah, I love the Haddy. I never got one for years. Just never was that interested, but it has grown to be one of my favorites in the time I've had it. The gut I bought it from said it had been dormant for the winter and hadn't eaten at all for about three months. Since I've had it, it eats like a champ. It goes after food almost as aggressively as my bicolors do! | |

| First of absolutley beautiful collection you have there. Second Im kinda new to scorps in the fact that all I kept before this year was Pandinus imperator. But how can you tell the Hottentotta hottentotta is in pre molt and does your method of telling when in pre molt work for all species? | |

| thanks trash, you have very nice scorpions right there! It is nice to wake and see the Trashman having done some effort in taking these great pictures. I have to agree with you on the bicolors that they look female. And they look to have attitude too. Males tend to go softer through life. They are magnificent though.. | |

| Thanks for all the kind words everyone.
@ Justin: The premolt shot from the top of my post clearly shows what premolt looks like. By the time your scorpions start looking like little sausages with a tail it won't be more that a few weeks to a molt. Unless it's just a fatty, but I don't think any adult scorpion would ever eat that much. Also just like with spiders, they'll usually refuse food for a week or so prior to a molt.
@Bex: Well I'll have plenty shortly. Even though they are DWA I could mail some...
@Pluto: I tried to look for the little blobs that yours has, but on one they were not visible, and the fatter of my two was not very cooperative about holding the hell still. I did catch a glimpse of something blobby looking on that one though...
@leiurus: Thanks for the compliment on my enclosure. That's just a temporary one until I get my colony a bit more established. I'll try to post pictures of their future home as well... | |

| Ok that makes sence then. My B. jacksoni looked like that before it molted and it was refusing food.... Which NEVER happens lol Thanks for the info | |

| No problem man. As they get a bit larger you'll also be able to clearly see the tergites on the back separating as well. The membrane in between will be showing. | |

| About a month. She's plumped up quiet a bit since then, and was wild caught. These are my first bicolors. They are adults then? | |
