| jup.. :-) its frogfood normally, but they're really small and scorplings take them too.. At least they cant run as fast as crickets can. I only see mine eating crickets though. Lots of them. | |

| I have like 3/4 doing the same things as yours, but I have some that are shy.. I put those springtails in for those guys... eventually when they get really hungry they prolly will take crickets too, but just for safety. | |

| Totally. I got some fruit fly cultures going just in case, but they seem to be more afraid of the flies than the crix. | |

| I just bought some goo [hopscotch] in a jar. It smells like charcoal peanut butter. They are flightless fruit flies, but the can climb. Do springtails climb? There's a guy selling some cultures for them on my local classifieds right now. | |

| It does, Tom. But tbh nothing beats pinhead crickets in my experience. THey readily grab them. They cleaned house in 15 mins after putting an entire cricket tub in my bicolor brood.
All were carrying cricket hats.
I tried to feed chopped up larger crickets, but it didnt work for me. Although it works for many people.

| I feed most of my 2i's with tiny headcrushed mealies, works well for all except C.hentzis, these guys will eat only pinheads. Gladly I always have pretty much of them available. | |

| I do too! And you're right. If you really want to do it, go ahead, they wont sting at that age. When I lift up rocks to see if all is ok in my kindergarten (no cannibalism).
They run everywhere, also over my hand and arm and back onto the rock. They can sense they're on a living thing and try to get off asap. But they dont sting.
It looks really much like the one you had;, and the tail is blacker than the bicolor you and I had. My bicolor are already as black as that everywhere. So we both got nicked i think.

I unwillingly held a few at a time while separating the brood that those 2 came from.Scared the outta me but they were just looking for a place to hide so they didn't sting or anything.

| I'm going to take a video of the next time I feed one of my adults a superworm, one of my females is sadistic and psychotic. Since superworms keep moving after they get stung she freaks out and digs her telson damn near through it and just gyrates hey whole tail to try and dig it in more, its crazy to watch. | |
