well it was only a couple of days ago i got a Red rump from me pet store,, and now it looks like im getting another one of a mate cos his lady is gonna give birth soon and she said either the tarantula goes or he goes lol haha..anyway its a Brachypelma klaasi (mexican pink) im getting it today,,, ill post sum pics up soon of my new editions

Nice touch there mate! Look forward to seeing some pics, can't say I know the species. I've got hooked on T's lately too and like you have 3 aswell now.

yeah mate,, i still prefer scorps but the UK is so crap for variety,,, its just emps and the occasional flat rock,,, i know theres websites that have some good scorps on there but there not always in stock. just seems to be a bigger market in T's unfortunatly. need to get my DWA lol then ill be happy. funny thing is tho even tho ive got 3 t's now,,, im still scared when it comes to picking them up lol not that i pick them up offten lol im getting better with them anyway,, can actully hold them for more than 10 seconds now.

i think so mate. im not to clued up on T's tbh . i think shes due for a molt soon looking at the size of the abdomen.

She should be molting soon. Within 2-3 weeks is my guess.

hahaha i have to admit T's freak me out somewhat, i think its the way they move, you know 'hand' like lol, thats why i want one lol test my nerve a bit, unfortunaly my mum i law is petrified of spiders and i really like her so ...would have to keep it a sectret or she wouldnt come round lol Smile

lol yeah i know what you mean, im still a bit freaked out by them, maybe start of with a Sling to see what your like with it, at least it wont be that big and then you can watch it grow up , thats what i done,, but yeah keep it a secret if you still want to have in-laws lol

Yeah that was Brachypelma smithi (Mexican Red Knee, the typical pet T that everyone recognises from films and such) however I've got my eye's on a real nice species bugzUK have. Brachypelma boehmei (Mexican fireleg) is very similar to B. smithi but with solid bright red legs.

Haha, I know what you're talking about. That's why my mother in law has no clue about my scorpions. That's why we having a dressing room, all tanks will temporarily go there if she comes for a visit (fortunately for the scorps' sake, it's not too often Very Happy

when i got divorced and moved back home my mum and dad thought i only had 2 scorps and a chameleon,, they still dont know about the other 7 scorps , 3 T's and the Mantis lol
