Cyclosternum fasciatum is a species of a new-world tarantula native to Costa Rica. Its maximum legspan of 12 centimetres (4.7 in) makes it a rather small tarantula species, yet it is one of the largest of its genus. Male adults have tibial hooks on the front pair of their legs.

As pets they may be kept in terrariums, where they are best kept on mildly humid substrate of about 60% - 70% humidity, and in temperatures between 21 and 30 °C. The female produces a cocoon which contains between 200 - 800 eggs about a month after mating.
