| Thanx! Getting a canon 550d tomorrow so gonna be able to gt much better pics soon well excited God I would love it if we could just find stuff in the back garden and just down the road, the only thing we have here in the uk is a non-native colony of Euscorpius flavicaudis about an hour way from us! I was worried about having scorp with kids about but they know the score and don't go near them also most of our have locks on or are squeezed so tight in the shelf there is no way of getting into them now Also we are not allowed anything in the buthidae family so can't have the more toxic species anyways, would love to keep c.gracilis or c.vits or something similar Keep us update on the thing in the log lol | |

Im going to try smoking out the log I think...Im a little more than nervous about what will come running out when I do though! Totally NOT prepared to have the 17+glowing critters I saw last night go fleeing for their lives.... My neighbor might come over & cut the log up into rollable chunks for me...Its over 30ft long & incredibly heavy, making it easy for the Scorpions to play hide & seek! Anybody near Queen Creek,Az wanna come help me catch these guys??

Just from eyeballing the "Thing in the Log" Id guess it to be maybe 6inches long from nose to tail? Lol @ Pluto..My 7yr old calls everybody "Dude"....

| Could be a Hadrurus Arizonensis. They aren't bark scorpions, but get large and sometimes will adopt a hide rather than burrowing. | |

| Well I'm 28 really, but I never got past 7 mentally. Regarding your question about bark scorpions, 69 soixante-neuf (we always made jokes about that number too at the age of 7 and still do) .. Centruroides gracilis is supposed to be the biggest. However, Chiapensis takes the cake imho. Hope that was of any help, dude! | |

| They tend to sit at the entrance of there tunnels very rarely will they have a walk around, the burrow was initially made by the scorp but it came up under/next to the water bowl which started to collapse in so I moved it and the hole opened up more, this lil guy has excavated a whole load of tunnels it's mad how much the dig | |
