Subject: Worried about my ball python 1/14/2011, 4:29 am
My snake was finishing up her shed and i pulled her out to help her get the rest off the tip of her tail, and i realized she had small amounts of blood around her [buttocks]... Is this usual or what? Ive had her for quite a while but this is the first time ive been awake and watched her shed. Is that normal or what?

I have had snakes bleed before after shedding it usually not a big deal

a little more moisture can help that. i have a few that did the same, ( the pet store did not know how to keep them ) and i upped the humility, not by much and they have not had a problem since...
