So I took my emp out for a little bit and put him on my bed. Next thing I know he books it across the bed crawls down the bed post *its angled enough for him to climb* and journeys throughout the house. He followed me though? When I walked he followed it was weird. Can they show affection?

not a chance. it might have been following your shadow to try and hide under you or something but most likely was just escaping in your direction. scorpions dont really have a brain, well not in a mammal or bird sort of way, just a little group of nerves which gives it enough control to eat, not be eaten and breed.
