Sexing jungle carpet python

I can't find out how to sexy my jungle carpet python.... I have had it for almost 5 or 6 years.... But I have always called it a him/male so I'm not sure what it truly is.... I'm thinking about adding another jungle carpet or jaguar carpet... but I wouldn't want two of the same sex.... I would honestly love to have a breeding pair.... anyway I have searched the net and all the books I can find. anyone know where I can find out how to sex my snake?

I don't know anything about carpet pythons, but I hope these links will help you.
Some people recommend "pop-sexing" as well.

ya those helped but it looks like I'm honestly out of luck because as old as it is my snake pretty much wont allow the popping he is to strong .... I just meet a snake breeder the other day guy I will see what he says...

Yeah, unfortunately that's what I read as well. Sexing them when young is the best then. Good idea, let him take a look at it. Let us know how that goes, good luck.

I don't have much experience with snakes, but we sexed ours by locating the spurs. (burmese)

ya but jungle carpet pythons don't seam to be able to be sexed any way but popping or probing.... both male and female can have the spurs... or so the net says... the end of the tail tends to always look the same long and thin male and female.....LOL I'm going to take him to the breeder next week or at least talk to him about sexing it for me....
