? during pemolt is it normal for my scorp to be slow and not active, and do scops eat during premolt | |

| Yes, the telson is the ball at the end of the tail with the sting on it. The reason I asked was that if it were red, then it would be mature and so molting wouldn't be a possibility. However, its not red and so it could be. During premolt the scorpion tends to become a little more inactive and will generally refuse food from a couple days before it molts right up until a couple days after it has finished molting. | |

| one of my two emps molted. this is the first time ive ever had a scorpion molt so im pumped, i noticed some very unusual behavior from the other emp in my tank (adult) was very aggressive more than i ve ever seen. i had moved the hide and was trying to move my emp(the one that didnt molt) so that i could replace the hide. it started lunging grabbing the tongs and was using the stinger. i was shocked i guess it knew that the other emp had molted and was vulnerable | |

| Emps generally like to protect their tank mates during molting because as you said, they know that they are vulnerable - Pretty cool behaviour though | |
