labeled wrong @ store please id w/pics

so i am on vacation @ beach and there is no other scorpions for sale back home except emps. i visited 2 pet shops while im here, one has nothing but the second and 2 diff species of scopion labeled as a flat rock and a red claw instict told me the petshop id was wrong. the so called red claw was large with narrower claws than my emps, flat and a very skinny tail, yellow stripes on his body. the so called flat rock is small as in 2 or 3 in. and has a red and brown color and the claws look like my emps to scale with the scorps body size.

after looking through the web i am about 90% that the one i bought is actually a tazmainian red claw which is cool with me because i wanted a aggressive feeder. oh and it looks close to molting or it is seriously over feed

can someone id my scorpion i think its a redclaw but not sure and is it getting ready to molt

deffinatly not a flat rock. it looks like it may be a P. cavimanus in pre molt

Tasmanian and Tanzanian aren't quite the same thing.

But yeah, common name = red claw, scientific name = Pandinus cavimanus, so the store actually had it right.

Take out those bark chips and put in some coconut fiber. Keep things a little bit drier than your emps.

lol tazmainin didnt notice that , no the store was completely wrong. i even went back and told them that i thought they were mislabeled they more than likely didnt do anything about it

So you bought the one labeled "flat rock"? 'Cause the acceptable common name for it is "red claw," so it sounds to me like the store just got the labels switched (not that stores often know what they're talking about when it comes to scorpions anyway).

Im not sure if this is right or not, but it looks to me like a Chilean chocolate scorp.

No, it's definitely Pandinus Cavimanus.
