my male emp today was vibrating quite violently and was grabbing on to my female, does this mean mating? as he was trying to pull her along??

I think sometimes it can be a territorial display, but it can definitely mean mating dance.

It's called juddering and is most commonly associated with mating rituals.

aa thts very good to hear:D but the female was positiond sideways but he had 1 on her telson and one and her claw, i was hoping she would turn to him but she didnt:(

thats not mating - they grab each others claws when mating and they share if they have mated you should see the spermataphore in the tank

Sometimes the males are as clueless as some human males, and will mistakenly grab the metasoma instead of the second pedipalp. Usually they'll get it right if given enough time.
