T blondi molt Empty
PostSubject: T blondi molt   T blondi molt Empty5/29/2010, 4:54 pm

Ok so i havent had time in a few months with college and work and stuff to come on here, must of been before christmas was my last visit, since then my male t blondi (around 9 inches) molted, into what should be mature male.

Its been about 2 weeks and he still hasnt come out of his log, he stopped eating about 3 months before molting, but then after molting ate a considerable amount of his molt, which was unfortunate as i did want it intact but none the less it went smoothly, hes gone alot darker in colour and legs have grown a considerable size to what i can see inside his log, im gonna guess about 10 inches now, but we will see when he comes out.

About a month before molting he dug substrate from inside the log, picked it up with his fangs, and moved it to the front of the log, literally making a wall infront of the log shutting off a good 3/4 of it and then webbed over the other 1/4 completly sealing himself in.

I will try get a pic of him when hes next out, but as of yet only have the 1 picture of him eating his molt, appologies for the phone camera quality but here it is:

Hey again dude, yeah hes doing fine, still aint come out though, been like 3 weeks! But hes eaten so hes fine lol

Yeah its like some protein thing, he didnt eat for like 3 months before molting, i heard its not that uncommon for big species tarantulas.

And yeah there doing fine actually, my flatrock still isnt eating though, but probably shouldnt go too off topic though lol
