Tail-Dragger

One of my adults in my rapidly-depleting communal tank is dragging his tail when he walks, and I know that generally means he's winding down and getting ready to die. Should I remove him and put him in another enclosure while waiting for him to kick the bucket so the others don't cannibalize him, and to avoid him getting lost in the maze of tunnels and stinking up my entire room?

If they have all been dying in that one tank, then I'd suggest cleaning it out thoroughly and disinfect it with appropriate disinfectant.

You can if you want but thats entirely your decision. It may also mean that they are wiping there butt as well because thats what they do.

what some people do when their scorpions are dragging is take them out and completely isolate them.
They put them in a smaller container with moist paper towels and a water dish until the scorpion shows signs of improvement in health.

How long has your scorpion been doing that? If it's been a while, he probably is dying.

I just had an evil idea:

Go to your local petshop if they sell scorpions.
Buy one.
Replace the dying one with new one.
Go back, return the dying scorpion w/ new scorpion receipt.
But this is evil and you shouldn't do it!!!

I was planning on doing something like this to swap an emp at the store that appeared gravid with one of my non-gravid emps.

Is he active, or slowing down and unresponsive?

Walking lots indicates butt-wiping, slowing down and not responding to stimuli suggest impending death from old age.
