| Probaly somewhere in forums but im gonna ask anyway. I have three pandinus imperator in some Sphagnum Peat Moss and its really sticking to them sorta like glue or something, just wondering if the humidity is to high or is this just normal? I've had them for about 5 days now and one seems to come out just about everytime i go to check on them, but i still haven't seen one of them. I know its just normal but kind of makes me wonder if maybe he was eaten by one of the others any suggestions? | |

| idk about the moss but dont worry about them. Im sure in time he will come out... Just flash a flashlight down or something if you need to relieve yourself. They are pet holes for a reason. | |

| also might sound dumb but is there a difference between red claw emperors and black emperor scorpions or is it just different emperors have different hues? Put about 4 or 5 crickets in there and there all gone so maybe its all good with him just subadult so still probaly only comes out in the pitch black i need to get a red light. | |

| red claws aew probably P. cavimanus and black claws are P. imperator. P cavimanus have smooth claws, P. imperator have bumpy claws like the skin of a basketball | |

| Pandinus Cavimanus are also non-communal.
OP - Your substrate should be coco fiber but if you have some moss on top of the coco fiber then thats fine. Emperors like to burrow and cannot really do so in sphagnum moss. Its also not a problem at all if the moss sticks to them, they will sort themselves out in due time. | |

| Well im try some coco fiber but right now 2 of them dug a pretty long burrow but haven't seen the other ones burrow. I think they may have just created one huge burrow or something | |

| All 3 of my emps are in same burruw although i have three hides they still like to stay in same burrow is this normal? also thinking maybe moss is alright the burruw is up against glass and holding together good dont really wanna disturb them by digging up burrow now because there getting comfortable in there. | |

| yes its normal for them to pile on each other in the same burrow/hide... and if you dont wanna mess with them, just leave them alone, if you made them a burrow, they'll inevitably find it while exploring =) | |
