Hello everyone, I was wondering how I could prevent/repel an infestation of mites on a scorpion. Thank you in advance.

For inverts there are only a few safe options. To prevent a infestation, a lot of inverts come with their own mites and almost all feeders come along with non harmful mites that feed on scraps and waste. Harmless but not fun to see.

1. Keep the cage dry, not always an option.
2. Keep very good cleaning habits.
3. Isopods to help clean what you miss.
4. Preditory mites. (Refona.de), may also eat your Isopods.

All you really need to do is to remove any left over cricket parts after 24 hrs.

Predatory mites won't eat your isopods, but they'll eat the bad mites.

You COULD but you run the risk of putting parasites etc into your scorp tank. It is suggested that you breed them for a couple of generations to minimize the risk before putting them in.
