So yeah... I dont know how it happened, but my desert hairy has an injured claw. The is a black spot at the articulation of the claw itself, and he can't seem to open it. Will he be able to survive without it? Does this sound like something that could heal?

The reason I ask is I am planning to sell it but I don't want to sell it if it won't live...

mycosis?

mine has it on his one leg and he has some trouble moving it. oh well for me. that sucks for your guy.

it cant heal like in tarantulas if it does eventually fall off. however, they can still mate and catch prey, although it would be wise to inform your buyer of this

Hmmm.. can't tell whether its an infection of some sort or whether it is just where he's caught his claw on something and ripped it, revealing the tissue. scratch

I have one with a broken "thumb," she's a little clumsy catching prey but still does well enough.
