i need help with babies

ok i had gotten an emp a good while ago maybe a month or so well i guess she was pregnant cause she had 4 babies like 3 or 4 nights ago well i noticed today that she had started eating one so i looked and she had birthed 3 more so thats seven including the one in her mouth then she stuffed another one in there without the one already in her mouth being fully eatin so now im down to 5 babies i dont know what i should do if anybody could help me let me know this is my first emp and i was just lookin for some help to keep these babies alive

I'm gonna stick with my first thoughts though and say just leave her be. Sometimes they eat entire broods, often as a result of stress. So leave her alone for now and hopefully she will stop eating them.

NB: The mother will eat any baby that she feels has some sort of diformity.

What were the conditions in the tank? Maternal cannibalism seems to be more frequent if the mom knows the young wont's survive in their present environment.
