New, overweight emp....how much to feed?

Our new male is really overweight from the pet store. My question is how often to feed him to get him to lose a little weight? My others I usually feed one cricket about every other day, maybe every third day depending. Should I feed the new guy less???

i feed mine every 10 days...
and they seem to be fine with it...
overfeeding is just gonna make your other big too

Feed one to two crickets if accepted per week and that should be about perfect.

how about don't feed it til it slims down a bit? scorpions will gorge when given the opportunity, fill themselves to satiation, then go off and digest...from what i've been given to understand, a fat scorpion (once it's as fat as it wants to be) will go off food for however long it takes to digest...
they store food in little "pouches" in the abdomen, it's really not a massive problem for them to subside on this for ages.
high temps (which they should have anyway) will help it digest quicker.

my personal regimen is more along the lines of feast and famine, as i can't always get crickets that are big enough, so give them a decent few when i do get them in...maybe every few weeks, keeping an eye on them and making sure they aren't getting too slim.

from my understanding, overweight is something you can't really say about scorpions...there's well fed and there's...hungry lol

by accept do you mean you feed your scorp the crickets or do you just toss them in the cage? latley I have been feeding my guy and he seems to love it. but who knows maybe im over feeding him lol. he eats a cricket every 2-3 days.

if he takes it, than go for it...
if he doesnt...well...lol...try again in a few days...

one of the things i go by is the scorpion sitting just inside the hide with their pinchers out and wide open...
but since i stick to feeding mine every 10 days, usually from the 7th to 9th day they exhibit this behavior...
its like they know its time for them to get fed again lol
