| if you're sure the crickets cant get out, than the scorpions probably just had a feeding frenzy... which would make me slightly jealous cause mine never come out in the day time =/ | |

| thats what worries me... i cant see any cricket body parts at the entrance of the hide. i dont really want to disturb them and lift up their hide and check for remains though | |

| but i just got the the scorpions like not even a week ago and i feel like they have been going under a lot of stress already. i always change between the day and the night heat lamp and i try to do it as silent as i can be but of course i still make noise somewhat when i put the lamp back on top of the lid of the tank. it causes vibrations and the scorpions just get into the defensive positioon. | |

| well its a decision you gotta make... i think its a fair trade off, 5 minutes of stress versus the possibility of life threatening (i believe) problems... | |

Then how the hell do they chirp?! Crickets only have under-developed wings if they're immature. Adults have full wings and females have the ovipositor you mentioned. I have three points to make: 1) Phan, just grab out the excess crickets and toss 'em back in in a week or so (assuming they're still alive). 2) Everyone else, calm down. While tossing in a lot of prey isn't the greatest idea (imagine having a cow wandering around your living room), it's nothing to get all bent out of shape about. 3) Phan, if you have a question / comment / whatever, please feel free to post a new thread with it. | |
