hey guys, as a late birthday present, my pearents got me a adult male emp (witch is in with my female) and a flat rock, ive been reading care sheets but each is different what substrate do they need?/ ive currently got it him (im assuming its male) in dry cocoa fibre and i mist it every 3 days or so?? any suggestions?? cheers

troggys are harder to find, grats!
keep him on coco/sand, thats what i did before mine died of nematodes alot of flat rocks and places to hide in them. they need 50-60% humidity, so just open room air is fine and heat, i cannot stress this enough, they love to be warm they are desert scorps (kinda), but easy enough to care for
they also dont eat as often as emps so good luck!

You can tell if it is H.Paucidens by the yellow bands on it's back. If it is H.Troglodytes, it will be a rusty colour with no yellow bands across it's tergites.
A female = Very short tail A male = Very long tail
