Got to see my Emp eat for the first time.

It had been 2 and a half weeks since I fed him, and he had started hunting at night. I finally got a chance to go out and buy some crickets, and I threw a couple of them in to the tank. Right away, when one went near his burrow, he lunged. This was really cool, because I've had him for about 6 months, and never seen him eat. I tend to find empty shells outside his burrow, so this was a first. If that wasn't enough, just now, I found the other cricket, drowned in about a quarter inch of water. Figuring, why not?, I grabbed it with the tongs, and held it in front of his house. BAM! He snagged it right out of my grip.

Pointless topic, I know, but I was just really excited. Made my day.

who doesn't enjoy their hulkish emps destroying little crickets?
I can sit there all day watching them ambush, crush, and devour their prey ^^

It's cool to watch them do about anything in my opinion, grabbing the prey and eating is just one of the best !!

ive had mine for about a month and ive only seen it eat once but i didnt see the kill, my female hardly ever eats, shes eten once since i got her.

I think it's so exciting to see it happen because (with this species) it seems to happen so rarely.
