Just wondering...The Reptile Zoo

I'm sure you're familiar with Prehistoric Pets and their new show The Reptile Zoo.

Well, I really enjoy their vids, but something's been on my mind that makes me feel uneasy about it all.

I don't know if you guys are aware, but they already have quite a few snakes in the back area, over a thousand I believe and possibly well beyond that. They have a lot of vids where Jay, the owner, cuts open snake eggs from various breeding projects and there are a heck of a lot of baby snakes in the end. He's had some ridiculous breeding results and those unique ones are prized by him, but my question is, where do the rest go?

It would be awesome, but really crazy and unrealistic if he kept them all...

perhaps they go to The Island???

I know of them. I would have thought they wouldn't kill any off? I never even assumed that, surely they just sell them on after 2-3 feeds for cheap prices? That's what most breeders do...

I watched the arachnophobia episode today on youtube and they lost a lightning fast turantula that they said was deadly.

I found it very amusing, they found it though...... eventually

they probably sell them cheap to local shops and online stores and take them to shows. but you never know, they might kill some, or just pick a few eggs to keep, imagine the hassle of trying to feed and raise all those babies and then making a loss when compared to the time, effort and food that has gone into them by selling them dirt cheap to shops.
