They're also almost impossible to keep, from what I've heard.
That being said, you can find them in most dry climates. The Middle East, the American Southwest, etc.

There are usaly some for sale in Germany, but they have a short life span so most ppl are pretty unlucky in keep these because they have to molt to adulthood, breed and die in a short time so conditions needs to be perfect, but from i heard there ar some germans that have been successfull with some sp of solifuge but i cant tell you wich

I know where you can get one; Euphrates River Valley in Iraq 15 miles southwest from Bagdad. I shook numerous of them out of my LBE in the early morning hours.
