| Ok so this is my 2nd post some of you might of helped with my mites problem thanks on that btw.
Now i have another, have bought a male and put in with my female, there only about a year old so there isnt much fighting between them, but one occured when the male walked past the females hide and the female came out and tried to grab the male the male turned round, female tried to sting the male, male went back at the female etc, and somewhere in that ive noticed that part of the sting on the male has snapped off.
Is that gonna affect his ability at all? I dunno what to do if anything.

| Also, what does it mean when they shake there tails side to side? The male seems to do it more than the female, but the female does too | |

| Hope so, i always knew the female was more aggressive from since i got her, shes ridicoulus, i feed her locust off the end of my 10 inch tweezers, if i go anywhere near her with them she full on attacks them, with the male i tried it he just sort of strokes it with his claw, hopefully shes gonna realise hes not a threat soon | |

| I dont know what to do about feeding, shall i feed them both at the sametime? As where i use locust there fairly big so i only feed about once a week, should i just give 1 to each one? I dont want them to have to fight over food or anything but im unsure on this | |

| A new post every two to five minutes isn't really necessary. If you think the female is too aggressive, it could be possible she's gravid. As has been stated, your male is immature, but we haven't seen your female yet . . . As for feeding, just throw in a few food items and take out those that aren't eating. Emps can fast for months (males are known to do this more often). | |

| Is your female an adult as her behaviour is exactly how my female was, before the male died and then she birthed. Just feed once a week. if food not eaten in 24 hours, remove the items and try again next week. Its normal for scorpiosn to fast. They can go weeks to months without eating | |

| Oh right my bad, there both about a year old from what i gather, heres a photo of the female:
https://2img.net/h/i571.photobucket.com/albums/ss157/scorpion-newbie/DSC00238.jpg
Before you start yes the substrate in that picture was rubbish and it has been changed to cocoa fibre lol.
And i dont mean to sound like i totally dont know what im doing, but what is gravid? lol
Also something else, where as i work in a nightclub so work late, its 7.45am now im just about to head off to bed, came in, the females sleeping happily under abit of cork bark, the males sleeping right out in the open? I never see him hiding like at all, and sleeping out in the open is abit weird to me, my female never does that?

| do you have two hides in the tank? So he has a place to go if he wants to? If you do and he has decided to not sleep inside then...well he is just being strange. | |

| Yeah there is 2 hides, the female has chosen the bit of cork bark, the male sleeps sort of next to the hollowed out log, im getting some more cork bark off my friend soon, maybe then he will hide under that.
And yeah its weird that hes not hiding, any idea what would cause him not to? Maybe he just isnt comfortable in there with her, she is abit of a cow lol.
Ok so did try feed him, hes happily snacking on a locust now lol,
Was weird it sort of stepped on his claw, and hes like "what the hell are you doing" sort of poked at it with his claw, then it stepped on his face and he was like "oh im going" walked off abit, went over to him again stepped on one of his back legs, he turned round like "right i told you enough times" just grabbed it straight by the head, lol.

Im hoping he wasnt too hungry, i think that hollowed out log thing i have as a hide isnt very good at all, ill try replace it asap

| Well im hoping thats all it is, the male walked over to the females hide with the locust, walked in, soon walked back out though with her confronting him, the male actually managed to lift up the whole bit of cork bark with his tail lol.
I dunno what happened, maybe it was the male trying to offer some to the female? I think he knows full well thats where she is.

| He clearly thinks the cork bark is his, since he keeps returning to it and he was in the set up first. But he also might be feeling a bit stressed and "new syndrome" and just trying to freak you out. | |

| Actually it was the female that was in the setup first, i think thats why she sort of is better where she sort of knows it, although i took her out when i got him and re-arranged the tank to sort of give it abit of a new feeling, i didnt wanna leave her in there and just dunk him straight in, cause she might be thinking like "hang on why is he here where i live" sort of thing if that makes any sense, like some sort of territory take over.
But good news, they're fine now, and i mean absolutly fine, i got to sleep at half 7, was watching them nearly all night, constant fighting from about 11-5am, but now they are fine with eachother, they wont even raise there tail at eachother anymore literally.
Been watching them since 5-7.30, and 7.30 until now, they happily crawl over eachother without even being bothered by it, im taking this as a good sign that they're starting to get on! :-)
