| Wow that's a big tank, you could probably keep a little colony in there! I think one thing I can suggest is replacing the substrate with something like coco-peat so that you scorpion can burrow in it. Have a read of the threads that Mordax suggested, you should find plenty of info there | |

I was looking to have about 4 to 5 in the setup I currently have...would this be ok?

| adult then 6th Instar. I would also suggest coco fibre substrate. They can burrow in it but also, it stays moist for longer, therefore with the heat from a heat pad it will be nice and humid in there for the scorpion. Pandinus imperator like it very humid. You can get this by pouring water directly onto the substrate. I always know how humid my tank is for my tropical scorpions but the feel os the susbtrate but also seeing mist on the glass inside | |

| You could probably fit three or four adult emps in there.
A slight drawback to your tank is the front-opening setup . . . this doesn't allow you to put very deep substrate in. Would it be possible to rotate it 90 degrees, so the opening is on top?

| I agree with mike, if you take his advice you will be able to add loads of substrte leading to happier scorps lol They love to burrow so the deeper the substrate the better really | |

| Welcome* nice looking setup, but like the others say- Change the substrate to Coco Fiber~ Cocofiber is BEST for the Emperor Scorpion! No Doubt in Mind! good luck. picture of it. http://www.gardenopus.com/images/SeedStarting/SeedStarting/CocoFiber.JPG
